Hold Firm to the Trustworthy Word

Scripture: Titus 1:5–16

In a culture that assumes Christians are hypocrites—and in a church landscape where scandals and false teaching can weaken trust—what does credible Christian witness actually look like?

In this sermon from Titus 1:5–16, we hear the apostle Paul’s urgent instructions to Pastor Titus for the churches in Crete: establish faithful leaders, silence deceivers, and restore good order for the sake of Christ’s people. At the heart of it all is a clear command for both leaders and believers: hold firm to the trustworthy Word—not only for the sake of the church’s integrity, but for the sake of your faith.

You’ll also hear the comfort of Ascension Day: the risen and ascended Lord Jesus Christ reigns over all things and continues to deliver forgiveness, life, and salvation through His Gospel, proclaimed in His church. As you hold fast to Christ’s Word, He strengthens you to live with integrity and to bear a credible witness to His saving grace.
