What does a credible Christian witness look like in everyday life? In Titus 2, the Apostle Paul calls believers—older and younger, men and women, and even servants—to lives of self-control, faithfulness, and integrity that “adorn the doctrine of God our Savior.”
This sermon uses the picture of steel-toe boots to ask a pointed question: have we been “protected” from God’s correction—resisting His Word because we’d rather chase success or comfort on the world’s terms? God’s Law does step on our toes, and it hurts—but it hurts to heal.
And the Gospel is this: Jesus does not leave us crushed by correction. By His Word and Spirit, He brings repentance, forgiveness, and new life—so that, in your daily vocations, Christ turns ordinary faithfulness into a clear and compelling witness of His grace.
