Music at Saint Peter's Lutheran ChurchThe goal of the music department at Saint Peter's is to provide music and song that support the Word of God and enrich our worship services. There are many groups that practice weekly: The Adult Choir practices on Wednesday evening at 7:30 pm. We work hard and also have fun. The BASIC Christian Band practices two times weekly - Monday evening at 7:30 pm and Wednesday evening at 8:30 pm. We play at the non-traditional service on Sunday morning, 8:15 am. Occasionally the Adult Choir and BASIC band play together for awesome anthems. The Children's Choir practices on Wednesday evening at 5:30 pm. We sing children's songs and occasionally perform with the band. The Liturgical Dance Group is a group that interprets contemporary songs into dance form. Recently, children from one of our youth groups practiced and played choir chimes in our worship service. Peter Rothenberger practices weekly and performs many anthems on his trumpet. Violinists Diane Gantt and daughter Carson Gantt practice weekly and perform anthems during our 10:45 traditional worship services. Many of our members participate in instrumental ensemble and solo performances. We hope to revive an Adult Handbell Choir.
